Balloon Extreme can be enjoyed by anyone from 8 years old to 88 years old No experience or training is necessary. Proper counterbalancing insures that you land softly every time, and since you are always secured to the ground, Balloon Extreme is also extremely safe. Balloon Extreme offers the rider an unprecedented feeling of weightlessness along with an incredible view of the surrounding area without the hazards of skydiving or Hand gliding.
A 6.7-meter diameter balloon, made from the strongest, polyurethane-coated nylon, with an integrated lattice structure, is filled with enough helium (environmentally clean and non-flammable) to almost counteract your weight. Two long lines, superior in strength, tether you to the ground. Once secured in a comfortable parachute-style harness, you simply push off from the ground, allowing the balloon to slowly ascend as high as 33 meters, gracefully floating in the sky before gently descending. Your own body weight is enough to bring you back down to earth after each jump.
Since it requires no wind, Balloon Extreme can even be operated indoors in places such as arenas, convention centres, large hotels or shopping centres.
The tethers can also be shortened to accommodate use in height-restricted buildings.
Balloon Extreme is one of the safest new experiences today. Much safer than paragliding, parasailing or hang gliding, with all the thrills floating through the sky! The comfortable parasail-style harness and ground crew harness are both constructed from FAA approved military spec nylon webbing with 6,200 pound rated automatic locking carabineers. The Balloon Extreme is made from 210-denier urethane-coated nylon with an integrated lattice structure. This is the same state-of-the-art material that was used for the Swiss balloon that recently made headlines by setting the world record and becoming the first balloon to travel non-stop around the world.
The Balloon Extreme is under very little pressure from the helium. Unlike latex or rubber balloons, which can 'pop' or 'burst' because the material expands, the Balloon Extreme does not expand because it's already full size before inflation.
The tether ropes are Spectra line, rated at 2,800 pounds each.
The height of the balloon from top to bottom is 9 meters high or 29 feet
The diameter of the balloon is 6.7 meters wide or 22 feet
The balloon holds 160 cubic meter of Helium, this will generate a net lift of over 120 kilo.
